Each week students take jobs in our classroom to help out and learn about responsibility. If the students do a good job during the week, they will receive one coin as payment. Board erasers earn two coins if they do a good job. Here is the list of jobs with duties and schedule.

Line Monitor: Is the line leader for the week.  The line monitor makes sure the line is orderly and quiet.  The line monitor also makes sure the library is clean when we leave and changes the date on the board every morning.

Door Monitor:  The door monitor makes sure the doors are closed and lights off when we leave the classroom.  The door monitor also opens and closes the curtains when we watch a video or the sun is too bright. The most important job of the door monitor is to write "Ready Checks" on the board at the beginning of each English class.

Floor Monitor: The floor monitor makes sure nobody is making a mess on the floor and keeps the floor clean.  If the floor is very clean, the floor monitors can choose where in the line they would like to go when we line up.

Board Eraser: The board eraser makes sure the board is clean when class starts so that we do not waste class time to erase it.

Pass Out: The pass out person passes out papers and books to the class.

Collect: The collect person collects homework and other papers or books from the class.
