Unit Description

In this unit we will learn how to analyze characters and character traits then create our own dynamic character in a personal narrative story. A big part of this unit is using evidence from the text to support our ideas and beliefs about what happens in the story. Because I like to put my own personal touches on what I do, we will be learning all these skills through science fiction. Students read all about science fiction and analyze the characters within to later take this information and write their own science fiction personal narrative. It is so much fun!
